About
This blog aims to create a collection of useful articles for any developer starting a career in the profession.
I have been developing software since my childhood. In 2000, after a year in charge of the internet division of a magazine editor, I decided to go freelance in order to free up some time to develop my personal projects (see below). I started to work as a consultant in web development for leading internet agencies in Brussels and later had the opportunity to work on enterprise software projects as a developer and agile coach, and went to work with local giants. I worked in many different fields such as media, utility, finances, insurance, telecommunications & aeronautics.
Simutanously, I launched few startups. Since 2000, I have created up to 9 different companies in various fields such as software development, martial arts, media (radio) or even catering. Most of those companies are still operating and around 80 people are involved in them.
I stopped consultancy almost completely at the end of 2009 to refocus myself on my new projects. I still do occasional consultancy as a software development coach and/or technical & entrepreneurship expert for Microsoft Innovation Center and other local start-up incubators.
In addition to managing my businesses I am studying Psychology at the University of Liège with the aim of acquiring the required credentials to do more professional coaching as well as conducting research into the human factor in software development & entrepreneurship.
